A project is a race or passage with a date: its course, boat, weather, route and crew in one place. You make one for each outing you want to prepare. Projects are kept on the phone, need no account, and work offline.
Make one
- Open the form. On Projects, press + (New project) at the top.
- Name. Type the race or passage name. Leave it empty and the project is called Race or Passage.
- Kind. Choose Race or Passage. A race adds one extra switch under sharing; otherwise the two work the same way.
- Date. Has a start date is on, set to this time tomorrow. Set Start for a race or Departure for a passage to the scheduled time. Turn the switch off for an outing with no fixed date.
- Sync. Leave Web project on This device only, or choose one of your web projects. See below.
- Create. Press Create at the top right. The project opens.
Filing into a web project
If you are signed in, Web project lists the projects on your account. Filing into one links the two. Its boats and courses come to the phone, and your tracks and armed plan go to the web. Live sharing, messages from the shore team, the race tracker and the after-race review all need it.
If you are not signed in, the list is empty and the footer tells you where to sign in (Settings › Account).
The app files into a project that already exists on the web. It does not make a new web project. Create that on the web first, then choose it here.
Find it again
The project you sail next gets the card at the top of Projects, headed Next. That is the one being sailed, or else the soonest still to come, or else the one you changed last. A start up to 12 hours ago still counts as coming. The card shows the time to go, for example Starts in 1 d 2 h.
Every other project is listed under Upcoming, soonest first, or under Sailed once it has a finished passage. Each row gives the kind, the date and where it stands: Plan armed, Sailing or Sailed.
Change or delete it
Open the project and press Edit at the top right. You can change the name, kind, date and web project, then press Save.
Delete project is at the bottom of the edit form. Press and hold it to confirm. The project goes, but its passages and tracks stay in the log.
